- A Muslim elementary teacher in Quebec was removed from her job and asked to move to a non-classroom position
- This was simply due to her personal decision and right to wear a hijab as part of her religion
- The decision was based on Bill 21 of Quebec which came into law in 2019
- Although the Federal government expressed opposition, they have not intervened to stop the injustice
- The UN has warned Canada about the violation of fundamental human rights through this bill
- Leaders across Canada have denounced the law, however action has still not been taken
- What can we do to fight against this bill as individuals and a community?
