4th-6th Imams Laying Shi'i Foundations through their Scholarly Jihad - Maulana Syed Muhammad Rizvi

- Explanation of surah Zumur Aayat 9 (39:9) where Allah(s.w.t) mentions one of the criteria of those who are superior to others.
- From the Quranic point of view the three elements that makes one superior to others are, taqwa, jihaad and Ilm.
- Explanation of the great roles played by the 4th, 5th and 6th Imam in giving a clear and distinctive form of the Shia school of thought in order to eliminate all ambiguity.
- The scholarly jihad of our Imams resulted in the formation of the Ja'ffari school of aqaid as well as the school of fiqh.
- Narration of a part of a hadith of the 6th Imam where he talks about the contribution of his father in expanding the horizon of knowledge for Shia Muslims.
- The name "Baqir" comes from the title "Baqir Uloom-e-Nabiyyin" which means someone who digs out the knowledge of all the Prophets.

- To love the Ahlulbayt is not sufficient. We also need to follow them because they are a direct channel to the Prophet and from the Prophet to Allah(s.w.t).
- Narration of another hadith of the 5th Imam from Usoole Kafi, where Imam mentions the three moral concepts where no excuses are acceptable.
- Importance of realizing that Islam is a combination of 'aqaid' and 'amal' where the foundation is Allah(s.w.t).
